This
water control assembly is a result of many years of experience in
varying designs of water control devices. Flashboard risers are
fabricated in widths from 12” to 30 feet wide, depending on flow of
water through the lake or reservoir. It resembles a piece of pipe cut in
half with boards stacked in channels to height of water required.
A
flashboard riser is recommended for lakes with a flow of water where
varying water heights are needed. (An example is a duck pond and/or
industrial lake, where some particular height of water is maintained.)
These
risers can be fabricated with three types of channel:
single,
double and triple. Double and triple channel are
advantageous
when utilizing screens in ponds for fish and shrimp farmers.
